Things to do in Birch Bay, WA
The life of Birch Bay is in its changing tides. When the tide is out, the beach is laid bare to all sorts of activities. Take a stroll along several square miles of tide flats and comb the sand for clams, crabs and seashells. Low tides also make for some of the warmest swimming water in the Northwest. The exposed bay is ideal for sandcastle building, and visitors can show off their architectural skills while they compete for prizes in the June castle contest. When the waters return, kayakers can paddle up Terrell Creek towards Birch Bay State Park. Camping in the park allows for striking views of the Cascades and Gulf Islands at sunset. For those staying on land, Birch Bay boasts some of the best golfing facilities in the state.
