Things to do at Camano Island, WA
Camano Island has retained some of the isolation of a true island getaway. While home to many quiet farming and residential communities, it is without towns or tourist traps. Visitors can enjoy its quiet beaches with a stay in one of its beach cottages or B&Bs. There are many art galleries to explore throughout the island, and an art studio tour is given annually. Many parks preserve the natural landscape of the island and its history, including the Iverson Spit Preserve, where visitors can enjoy bird watching in its 330 acres of protected wildlife. Camano Island State Park offers such recreation as hiking trails, swimming, two boat ramps, and opportunities for shellfish harvesting.
