Things to do in Grapeview, WA
Known for its stunning views along Case Inlet and its historic grape growing, the appeal of Grapeview is advertised in its name. The grapes can be taken in through the local Island Belle wine, bottled by Hoodsport Winery, while the views are digested along the Grapeview Loop Road, an eight mile scenic drive that will take you through the quiet community and even across an old wooden bridge to explore Treasure Island.
Across from the island, Fair Harbor Marina offers guest moorage and a newly renovated waterfront. The harbor hosts the annual Grapeview Water Festival and Wooden Boat Show every July. Directly across from Grapeview's mainland visitors will find Stretch Island, home of the old St. Charles Winery and the Maritime Museum of the Puget Sound. The Museum displays memorabilia from the Puget Sound Mosquito Fleet, which once serviced these small town waterfront communities. Stretch Point State Park is also located on the island, where visitors can enjoy the island's natural isolation by beachcombing, boating, clamming or fishing along its shores.
